What do I need to sign up for a unit?Proof of photo ID, i.e. passport driving licence.

Are my goods insured?We can provide insurance at an additional cost or if you wish to insure the goods yourself then we will need to see a copy of your up insurance policy with self storage facilities named.

What’s included in the price?The price includes the cost of your storage unit per calendar month including VAT. The price will be held when you reserve a unit. You will need a padlock which you can provide yourself or buy from our in-house shop.

When can I move in?As soon as the contract is signed and the month paid in advance you can move in.

When can I access my unit?Standard access hours are our office house Monday to Friday 08.00 - 18.00 and Saturday 09.00 - 16.00

Can I change the size of my unit?If you need a different sized unit, you can go smaller or larger at any time.

Things that can’t be stored at BHSS?Hazardous materials, living animals and plants, explosives, perishable items i.e. organic foodstuffs and plants. A full list of unauthorised or illegal goods can be found in our terms and conditions.

Minimum time I can store for?Minimum storage time is one month, 14 days notice needs to be given to vacate and refunds will be issued of any unused storage/insurance charges.

Do I need to pre-book or pay a deposit?If you pre-book to get the unit you want you can do this two weeks before with no deposit. Further than this a small deposit is required.

How can I pay?There are numerous ways you can pay; credit card, direct debit, bank transfer, standing order. Please note we do not take cash or cheques.

How secure are my goods?There is 24hr CCTV, access is through a keypad or fob, units are sealed with your own padlock. You hold all the keys. There are no keys for the units at Brierley Hill self storage. The door system monitors who is in the building at any one time and when they leave.

How am I billed?You are invoiced for a full calendar month in advance starting on the date the unit is taken up.
